Funding

We provide a contribution to the living expenses of artists in Switzerland and Germany for a period of four years. We support professional independent musicians. A call for applications takes place once a year. No inquiries are accepted outside the application window.

In Switzerland, CHF 2’100.– per month is provided; in Germany, €1’200.–. This corresponds to approximately 60 % of the minimum wage. We do not fund productions, tours, concert series or similar projects.

Long-term, person-based support primarily creates freedom for creativity and a certain level of planning security. The financial relief and time gained often also enable artists to show more confidence within the music industry.

We believe that more approaches like ours are needed in the funding of independent music-making. This scene makes a significant contribution to a diverse cultural landscape. New forms of support can help ensure that this remains the case.
