About Árvore
We support differently.
Instead of funding individual projects, we contribute to the artists’ living expenses for four years. This creates more freedom for their creativity, music and careers.
We're rooted in music.
The foundation was established in 2015 by musicians – developed from their own experience of living and working as independent artists. Most of the people involved with Árvore are active musicians, especially the foundation board and the committee that decides on funding applications.
We raise awareness.
Árvore regularly gives the public insight into the lives and work of independent musicians. On the one hand through “Wovon lebst du? Ein Podcast über Geld und Leidenschaft”, and on the other through our report, which is published yearly.
We stay connected.
Once a year, Árvore organizes a gathering in the Swiss mountains for former and new grant holders. Here, artists connect, share know-how, and inspire each other.
